Hi, I'm Stasia Boschetti
I'm an American culinary writer, wife, and mother. For more than thirty years, my life has centered around kitchens, family tables, gardens, and the everyday work of caring for a home. That life continues to shape every recipe, story, and article I publish. Much of what I know about cooking, hospitality, and homemaking was learned through years of doing the work itself.
Before becoming a full-time culinary writer, I spent years working in catering. My work draws from heritage recipes, historical research, and a repertoire I've developed through decades of cooking and professional food experience. Every recipe is carefully tested and written for today's home cook, with respect for its history and origins whenever possible.
In 2008, I completed formal training at The Protocol School of Washington in Washington, D.C., and became a Certified Etiquette and Protocol Expert. That same year, I founded what would eventually become Home And Feast, and later American Country Living, bringing together my love of cooking, hospitality, etiquette, and the history of the American home.
Today I live in North Texas with my husband, Giovanni, and our five rescue animals. Our children are grown and building lives of their own, but they'll always be one of the reasons I believe so deeply in family traditions, home-cooked meals, and the lasting influence of a well-loved home.
Everything you'll find here serves one purpose:
To preserve the recipes, traditions, and everyday domestic knowledge that continue to make the American home one of the most meaningful places in our lives.

American Country Living grew from a simple belief: the American home deserves to be documented with the same care we give its history. The recipes we cook, the tables we gather around, the traditions we keep, and the practical knowledge passed from one generation to the next all help tell the story of American life.
What began in 2008 as a place to preserve recipes and traditions has grown into a culinary and home journal devoted to the American table and the life built around it. Here you'll find recipes worth keeping, stories worth knowing, practical homemaking, etiquette, gardening, American history, and the seasonal traditions that continue to shape life at home.
